When we are not working on our blog discussions about the power of images and lost voices, Labragirl is busy making movies. All of our films look to explore lost histories and bring missing voices to the silver screen.

Lights! Camera! Action!

The Labragirl production teams took a hiatus from film production in order to  set up our sister nonprofit educational organization, the Labragirl Film Project.

Now, it’s time to return to filmmaking.

With Spring Training just around the corner baseball is surely in the air. We are excited for our upcoming series of shoots for our film 6-4-3.

6-4-3 is a hybrid (narrative-documentary) film that follows a minor league team through the dog days of summer.

While telling the story of the young female baseball player on the team, we encounter the stories of many female semi-professional and professional baseball players who have played before—dating back to the 1800s.

Below is a picture of our last 6-4-3 production shoot.
